Job summary:

Narron Wenzel, P.A. is seeking an experienced Estate Administration Paralegal or Fiduciary Accountant with demonstrated experience in the practice area to support our Raleigh office. Candidate must have a strong financial background and be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The ideal candidate will have strong people and writing skills, extreme attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Compensation and benefits commensurate with experience and the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle communication with clients and assist with overall client relationship
  • Locate and develop relevant case information and financials; analyze information
  • Assess the urgency of situations and determine appropriate actions; monitor pending items; provide follow-up; keep filings current and all relevant parties informed
  • Prepare inventories and accountings for estates and trust
  • Assist in preparation of fiduciary income tax returns and estate and gift tax returns
  • Type and file basic legal documents and correspondence
  • Monitor deadlines and coordinate calendars
  • Document management and retention
  • Support in responding to legal-related inquiries
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in estates and trusts or work/educational background in accounting or finance
  • Familiarity with legal procedures and protocols, financial information, and the court system
  • Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
  • Computer literacy
  • Effective writing skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
  • Positive, detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be punctual, reliable, responsible and have a high level of integrity
  • Working knowledge of legal or accounting software, including QuickBooks, is a plus
